Yarn..... What do you like?

When we started out on this venture, our goal was to stock the shop with products produced as locally as possible and feature the most natural products possible.  I wanted to feature locally produced yarn and fiber from quality sheep, llamas and alpacas.  I wanted tools from small, local craftspeople.  As the last year has passed, we have changed a bit in focus.  It turns out that what people like in yarn and tools is as broad a spectrum as I can imagine.
The shop has a variety of tools from large and small producers.  Some of these tools I love.  Some of these tools I carry because other people love them.  It turns out that hands that craft have very specific tastes.
The shelves are filled with colorful skeins.   We have wool, cotton, blends and all purpose acrylic.  We add more items as people come in with requests.  I love to see the projects that people create.   The clothing and the gift items we get to see are amazing.   Lots of imagination goes into yarn crafting.
To say that this is fun would be an understatement.  It has been a challenge to create a shop that meets the needs of our community.  It has been a challenge to balance all the aspects of successful business.  Hopefully this adventure will continue for a long time to come.
